It's usually pretty easy to keep a small flock of 3 or 4 even on a very small lot in the city... as long as they're contained in a secure run and there's no roosters. I would think a large prefab coop would work fine for a few bantams. Chickens are so rewarding to keep, I hope you're able to get some. Best wishes!

Welcome! I think you are getting great advice so far. Dobie is right, check city and/or association rules and ordinances before doing anything else. It's also a good idea to talk to the neighbors even if your ordinances allow poultry, and to be well prepared before buying birds. I hope you find BYC fun and useful for your new endeavor.
