New Chick In Town

I'm so happy to meet all of you. I'm new at this, I don't even have my chickens yet, but I AM getting things ready for them. I want to make sure that they will be healthy. My husband accuses me of bringing all the animals into the house....we'll see.....

Hi, Lovely Letie. Nice to meet you too! This is a pic of my last pumpkin patch before the colder weather set in. It was my first one, and it may have contracted some fungus, don't know. I'd like for my chickens (when I get them) to run around my garden. I think it's a good combination.

I believe you're right about the chicks going quickly in the Spring. Maybe I HAD better pre-order. I just don't know WHAT to order. I'm open to suggestions???
Hopefully some of our chicken keepers from warmer climates will chime in.
I went to a "new to me" feed store, today, and asked if they sell chicks (though, I'm not in the market, this year). They said, "Yes! We start taking orders in February". It's February! 😁
