Hi everyone! I'm a new chick mama(6wks in) who's been getting amazing info and guidance from BYC since the beginning! I thought I would join the lovely community now. 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm still pretty new and have a 3 week old that hatched from eggs and 3 brand new babies that hatched just yesterday!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 total. 1 three week old girl and 3 fresh out the egg youngins
(3) What breeds do you have?
3 week old is a Rhode island red and 3 babies are silkies
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are just absolutely lovely and adorable! Also the process of hatching eggs is so exciting and fun. Makes the life a little less lonely. Love hearing their chirps and tippy tappys~
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Exercising and playing video games with friends (I know, I should be outside more
)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Just me and the babies for now! Partner is far away for work and my work is here
no other pets, just the chickies by my side. Working as an RN and being around humans all day, it is a nice change to come home to cute little fluff balls!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found BYC from constantly searching Google with questions and always ended up on BYC for information and guidance on being a new mama hen for these precious fluffy babies. I plan to continue referencing this site with more concerns and questions! Love this community and the vast amount of knowledge everyone has with raising chickens. I plan to be around for a long time and maybe throw in my 2 cents here and there, if I can. Thank you everyone and happy raising for all
