New chick mama

We live in the Savannah Ga area and we just got our chicks 2 days ago.
We got 10 but lost 2 already.
I’m here to learn how to best care for these little creatures.

Hello, Donna, and welcome to BYC. What temperature is your brooder ?

It is now at 92
I do believe it was too high initially. Probably more towards 98
The ts guy told my husband we didn’t need a thermometer. Just go by how chicks reacted. We talked to our friends who have chickens and they never lost one and use a thermometer. We put one in and immediately 98!
Got it to 92.
