My daughters preschool hatches chickens every year, this year the chicks have no where to go, so we have been recruited to take 5 of them!!

Any tips, hints, insight or advice would be more than welcome to this first time chicken family!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your new chicks when you get them!
A great place to start is the BYC Learning Center, lots of good articles on all aspects of chicken keeping. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center this is a good article on the what chicks need the first few weeks https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/...ks-the-first-60-days-of-raising-baby-chickens
And it is always fun to check out your state thread for chicken keeping neighbors and for advice on coops etc that work well in your area https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/68894/colorado

Welcome to BYC!

Congrats on the new babies! You are going to enjoy keeping chickens. They are very rewarding and good for the soul.

Kelsie has left you with some very good links to follow, especially to the learning center. Excellent reads there on raising your new flock.

Enjoy your new babies and welcome to our flock!
