Hello! New to the group, and I have a bunch of questions.. (sorry haha)
So to start off, I got 4 Brabanter/Silkie cross chicks last year and 2 ended up being Roos but we kept them both as they are still buddies to this day. I have since grown my flock to 9 and the rest are random unknown breeds.
Anywhooo, I got an incubator for Christmas and decided to grab 4 eggs from my coop and try them out. They were all fertilized and have/had been developing well. Last night one egg hatched and they other 3 still haven't. I am worried this new babe will be a loner and my other eggs won't hatch.. they are fully dark when you candle them aside from the air bubble up so can I still expect them to hatch? Also I will try and find pictures of all my hens and post them for you guys but is there anyway you can guess the breed of this little love?

These are some pictures of the rest of the flock and the potential parents. The little grey one in the second picture is one of my silkie/banter hens and her sister looks just like her but black instead of grey

Hello and Welcome to BYC. Glad you joined this poultry loving community. Many different breeds come with the chipmunk strips. That little one looks to have some silkie in it with the top hat it has. At least I think I can see a top hat. Eggs do hatch at different rates as much as 2 days apart for me.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow

Silkie chicks that look similar (chipmunks) are partridge silkies; however that one is a lot more pronounced than any I've seen. I presume it's going to take after its mother, whichever one of those it is. Your chick would be more silkie if it has 5 toes, black skin, and feathered feet/legs, as it already has a vaulted head of one. ☺️

Welcome to BYC.
My first rule of hatching for myself is to "have patience". The 2nd is "don't handle the eggs between the 17th and the 23rd days"
Give your eggs a little more time.
If you do have to raise a lone baby enjoy the experience. Carry it with you to chicken pen when possible. Introduce it slowly when it is old enough.
