Got two new chicks a month ago. One of them has a dark, rather hard bump on her skin. Is this a problem and if so, can we do anything about it?

yes, I suppose that would be beneficial!

Hello! Do you have any pictures? That would really help. :)

It’s right on the border between the wing and the body. It is raised. A scab makes sense. We were trying to introduce the cats to them and one of them went a little far with it but we didn’t see any damage at the time

Ohhh, a cat was involved.
Wonders if cat bit chick or just scratched it...another wound on other side??
Just keep an eye on it, if it looks inflamed put a tiny bit of antibiotic ointment on it.
As long as chick is eating drinking pooping and moving around ok it should be fine.

I would suggest introducing your cats to the chicks like this until the chicks are much bigger. By then my cats have lost interest and the chickens are too big to try to go after anyway.
