New Chick Shipment at TSC Collierville TN!!

The shipment literally just came in less than an hour ago. Chicks are from Hoover Hatchery. They have Cornish Rocks, Americana pullets, Production Red pullets, Black Australorp pullets, and straight run Speckled Sussex

4 straight run Speckled Sussex (really hope I get a rooster!), 4 Australorp pullets and 2 Americana pullets
These are in addition to the 10 chicks I picked up the other day (RIRs, EEs, and Production Red)

My grandfather put it in there for them to play with

Mirrors are usually used if you have a single chick and it's lonely. With so many chicks, I would save on a bit of space and take it out.

They actually still play with it. It’s quite funny, a group will gather in front to inspect the “new comers” pecking and looking behind the mirror lol!

Their coop is almost finished and they’ll be out of the box by this weekend. If not, my parents have a garage full of giant boxes to move them in. The box is actually a lot larger than in the pic.

I always put a mirror in the brooder box with my baby chicks. They show genuine curiosity about the image in it. Also a good way to get interesting pics of their cute faces.
