We just got our order of checks today. I promptly picked them up from the post office, and carefully took them home. Upon opening the box one appeared to be dead and I quickly removed the other chicks to their new home so that they didn’t have to be near their dead fellow. Once they were removed it became apparent that the remaining chick was, in fact, alive although doing quite poorly. This chick cannot stand, although he moves his limbs around haphazardly. His eyes are closed most of the time, and he can drink water if I use a dropper to help him. He seems quite sleepy/lethargic.
What can I do to help him? Is this a remedy situation, or a put him out of his misery situation? How should I treat the rest of the chicks?
Eta: I did get them both Merick’s and Coccidiosis vaccines.
