We have a Polish chick just hatched yesterday or Saturday that is having difficulties walking. It is not spraddle legged but almost seems like it's hips are kinda dislocated. The hatched in proper time so I know that it was not in the shell too long. I wish I could upload a video. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Watching....I have a 2 day old chick with the exact same problem. Exact same posture as yours. I've had her/him in a hobble brace for the last 2 days and nothing has changed. Been sitting him/her in a cup overnight too. Just constantly cheeps. Maybe the problem is hips and not hocks? Sorry I can't offer any help to your little one, but I'll be watching this thread closely to read the replies.

Hey, I was just wondering if you might like to take a look at my thread about my little 3 day old chick. I've been trying a couple different ways of helping him/her and I just may have stumbled upon a good technique. It's a bit too early to tell if I'm gonna be successful with this chick or not, but the chick is most definitely more comfortable and is not chirping incessantly like it has been for the last 3 days. I figure that just maybe, I may finally be actually helping. The chick has been so quiet now that I've had to go and look carefully to make sure he/she is still alive! Happily, yes, and now very hungry too!

Hoping this might help you little one too. :)

If you do check out my thread, it would be great to compare notes. Are my chick's symptoms exactly the same as yours?

    Here's my thread, if you're interested - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...endon-or-splayed-legs-i-need-your-help-please

Anyway, hoping that your little chick will be ok.
