new chick...what gender???

So I ran across this chicken who is a barred rock white leghorn cross. So kind of a California gray? I want a cali gray hen so I bought her hoping she is a she. Also can you tell me how old this chick is??

the comb looks small...and not very red...might be a hen...do you know how old??...i cant see the tail feathers very well....if they are pointy that could be a roo...

i am going through the same thing with new chicks...hoping they are hens!...i think you might have better luck then i am having!
