New chick with scissor beak

My friend just noticed this little Silverudd I just hatched has scissorbeak.

Anything to help it not worsen?

Pet only. Already very attached. She’s one day old.

Can't really do much about it and it's likely to get worse, so best you can do is try and meet the bird's needs by making sure it can eat and drink with minimal issue (i.e. wet feed in a deep dish is ideal), and helping to keep the beak's growth in check. Emery board works well for beak maintenance and reshaping.
 
I had a cross beak. It started out normal but got worse. I also was send a chick from a hatchery that was missing an eye once, and it became a cross beak. (They re-credited him.) I did keep him because he was very sweet and acted like a regular bird. I didn't breed him though.
