New Chick

[Settlers Grove]

Hey there,
I'm a new chick around here. A fellow Raveler mentioned this site to me a while back when she saw my Funky Polish Chicken sock knitting pattern, and I'm just now checking it out. We raise a variety of chickens (currently about 35 in our flock)- from Golden Phoenix, Silver Polish, and Silver Laced Wyandottes to the more common Rhode Island Reds, Buff Rocks, Barred Plymouth Rocks, and a few Easter Eggers. We have more eggs than we ever know what to do with, so I'm looking forward to finding new egg recipes! We also raise French Angora rabbits and honey bees on our small hobby farm, Settlers Grove in Illinois. I knit, spin yarn, weave, make homemade soap, love to cook, and we dabble in lots of other crafts and outdoorsy ventures. We have more hobbies than time!
