One of our young pullets was taken by a hawk the other day. My friend called me and said he had an extra pullet that I could have so I went and picked her up yesterday. I believe she’s an Easter Egger. I let them out of the coop this morning and she took a strange poop. I did some research on google and of course I ended up scaring myself. I gave her a real good look over this morning she seems healthy no missing feathers she acts normal, other than the fact my other chickens don’t really like her yet. I did notice she had some weird looking white stuff at the base of her feathers by her face. I dont know if it’s normal feather growth or not but like I said google has me nervous. I’ll post some pics to show you guys. Thanks

He's an Easter Egger and he looks to be infested with lice.
I would clean out the coop and spray it with poultry spray containing permethrin or buy the permethrin concentrate and follow dilution directions on the container.
Then treat him, and now the rest of your flock. Again, follow the instructions for direct spraying of diluted permethrin on the birds and spray under their vents and each wing and under the wattles area of the neck. Repeat ALL in 7 days.

Agreed, you have a 'he' rather than a 'she'. In addition to the lice issue I would suggest having a fecal float test done. There looks to be a lot of intestinal shed in that dropping which can sometimes be an indication of internal parasites. Any time new birds are brought in coccidiosis can also be an issue, so if you see any signs of lethargy, sitting puffed up, going off food or water, runny, mucousy, or bloody droppings, those are symptoms of that.

I’m going to return the bird and treat my chickens for lice just in case. Thanks so much for all your help. I knew something didn’t look right

Chicken has been returned. Cleaned the coop sprayed everything down with apple cider vinegar garlic and water mixture including my chickens. I’m going to get the permethrin treatment now just to be careful. Thanks so much for all your help.
