So my mom brought me this americana pullet who’s around 3-4 months old. She brought her to me because she was sick, she was just on the floor laying there looking dead and I noticed when I picked her up, she had her legs tucked in behind her head which was weird, i’ve never seen that before. She brought her to me last night and she seemed dead but she would make a lot of normal chicken noises. I put her under my heat lamp last night and this morning, she seems to be doing better. She finally has her head up looking around and I fed her some wet chick starter and she ate a lot of it. She’s still just laying there but i’m not too worried since I just got her last night. She is extremely skinny and barely weighs anything, could this have been the problem? It also gets down to 40 degrees where my mom lives at night and all the chickens sleep outside. Could either of these things be the issue?
