What end of Seattle are you on? I know there is another feedstore on the northern end of Seattle, near Mill Creek. At Petco, you could probably get some hamster cages/bird cage or even a dog kennel, and put your silkie in there....and everybody else is right--my silkie hen is on the bottom of the pecking order--even to our six week old BR chicks.

I think there's a feed store in burien if you are in south seattle. Other wise I go to the one in Everett. If you ever are looking for a huge chicken selection, make the drive out to Monroe Farm and feed in Monroe. Very nice family run place.

Aha! Thank you, Seattlites! I have been meaning to pick up a barred rock, thank you, silkie. As for the area, I live in Wallingford, by the UW campus. So, is there a feed store near me in Seattle?
