I just bought a used chicken coop. It is in great shape and it comes with 2 hens. We are unable to move it due to the heavy snow/rain over 2 days.
I have been busy reading and preparing for several years for a coop. I appreciate your site and all of the members being so generous with help!
Thank you.

Welcome to the flock!!! Spend some time to explore, bet you will get questions answered that you didn't even know you had yet!

Hi and welcome to BYC

Here’s a good link where you’ll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping chickens - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive

I’ve been looking forward to getting chickens for YEARS!!! And my husband and I have finally started our journey too we’re building our coop and run but we were blessed to have a ton of leftover building materials after the hurricane here in Texas. I hope y’all have an awesome time with your coop and chickie babies!!!
