Greetings forum:

New to the backyard chicken thing, from Chambly, Qc, Canada. Moved in a year ago, had so much stuff to do, this is our first house, never go around to my coop. But now a year later, garden is done, kitchen renovation, basement flooring and everything else. Time to get that coop off the ground. :)

Already found a bunch of useful information on these pages, looks like it is THE place to be !

Got a month to build my coop. Still undecided on breeds, Wyandotte, Ameraucana, Ancona, Brahma, Plymouth Rock, Orpington. Flock will comprise of 3 chickens.

Looking forward to posting my coop build.

Welcome!

As you have already received links to some good starting points, I will just wish you all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock when they arrive or your coop build, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
