New chicken family, excited to join your community!

I am so excited to join your community! I have been a long time lurker here while we were deciding to take the plunge.

We have a total of 7 chicks!
4/20/2020: 1 Easter egger, 1 golden comet, 2 golden laced wyandotte

4/27/2020: 2 mystery chicks - possible barred cochin bantam (we lost one of these sweeties yesterday)

5/11/2020: 2 mystery chicks - chipmunk markings, 5 toes, hairy legs (clearly not silkies though!)


We are converting our old cedar swingset and playhouse into a coop and run. Currently the babies are in our basement brooder; I created a mama heating pad based on posts I found on this site! It's been working wonderfully, and the chicks really seem to be doing great!
