Hello all! My name is Alisha, and my family has just recently started raising chickens. We live just outside of Kansas City and are starting our small flock of 6. I thought I had researched before I got our chicks (4 Rhode Island Reds and 2 ISA Browns), but as they are brooding, I am realizing how much I didn't know even with my research. I joined because so many places cited here as a great wealth of information! Hoping to learn a lot on this fun new journey.

Congrats on your new venture! We have around 30 chickens and 1 Rhode Island Red…she is the friendliest of all of them and loves being carried around. I just know you’re going to love and adore them
