I've found the awesome world of raising chickens. I got started through my mom's school where her class hatched eggs given to us by our local county extension office. They are 6 weeks old now and my small but growing flock of 4 hens and 1 rooster white leghorns is thriving and quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do with my free time. I have a home made coop that was over kill for 5 chickens as it is 9x9x9 but i hope to get more soon and hopefully work up to having about a dozen of the little things. I'd also love to raise some of my own as the extension office let me keep the incubator.
