New chicken keeper - in the Mountains

I've heard that Basque Hens, aka Euskal Oiloa, are great for many places, including mountainous areas. I really love their cream crele color. They are said to have wonderful temperaments and are a great dual purpose bird. I'm wanting to order a few myself after these darn hurricanes and tropical storms pass.
