Hatching shipped eggs is a risk. I would start out with barnyard eggs. I hatch out a few hundred chicks every year of which around half will be males. I keep the best as future breeders and sell the rest, which helps to offset the cost of the feed. You will find a lot of good information here Good luck and have fun...
