Oh yes, three years ago I started with my first 12 unsexed chicks and three years later I have 70+laying hens. Life is good. Our dogs love the chickens or more so the eggs they produce. My hens tend to respond to commands better than the dogs do at the moment.

Hi!

I’m excited to learn as much as I can and enjoy the journey! We just got baby chicks this week, and we have 7 month old chickens we bought recently from a local farm. We wanted to start with older chickens so we could have eggs. I am loving watching the different personalities and seeing the older girls enjoy eating the greens in our garden and explore the land. The chicks we have are an Easter Egger, 2 Barred Rocks, and a Buff Orpington. The 7 month olds are Cinnamon Queens. Nice to meet everyone!
