Just started my adventure with chickens in May when hubs bought me a brooder coop and my dream of 6 chicks became a flock of 20!! I have 15 RIR and 5 banties. My little coop quickly became too small...so a huge coop was ordered!
We live in northern Mn so i have lots to learn about winter coop keeping.
Looking forward to getting to know more of the ins and outs of chickens!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Oh my your flock has certainly grown, they do this so unexpectedly :gig
Sounds like you are enjoying your new adventures into chicken keeping. Here is a lovely article you might like to check out about winter keeping ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/winter-chicken-keeping

Wishing you the very best of luck in the future. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy your flock and BYC :frow

It sounds as though you have already experienced 'chicken math', lol. You must be having fun with them.

In addition to the link Yorkshire Coop has given you, it might be helpful to chat with other MN members. You can find them here:

It's nice to have you here!

You have been given great links to follow. Minnesota has some very rough climate extremes, it would be best to find out how they get there birds through them. What type of coop, and breeds handle the weather best.
