New chicken lover from Texas!

They are pretty flighty. My cochins and delaware will let me walk right up to them and pick them up. The leghorns I can't really get near. I have to herd them into the coop at night so they wont roost in a tree instead. They've been good for teaching the dogs not to bother the chickens though, as they do a big squawking flapping number and fly a short distance away if they're heckled. They're supposed to be very efficient layers though. I should find out soon, as my two hens have been hanging around in the nest box more the last few days.
 
Hi I'm over near Magnolia, TX and have way too many light brahma roosters. I ordered them and they were supposed to be pullets but surprise, they are not. They are about 5 months old now and showing a lot of interest in girls, I have a Welsummer rooster the same age and he is not liking this a bit. Would you like a rooster?

I'd take a rooster! As long as they're people friendly. My leghorn roo has been sizing me up here lately, and I have a small daughter to look out for, so he might be on his way to freezer camp once I find a replacement.
