I just got my baby chicks 2 weeks ago and I am so happy. They are growing up so fast. I just bought a chicken coop I'm still putting it together. It says it can hold up to 4 but it only looks like it can only hold 2.

anyways I'm very excited to learn as much as I can to make my chicks grow big and strong. I'm keeping them as pets so I'm not going to eat so I'm just going to let them grow and lay eggs.

That is one fine chicken coop and run ares you have made for you new pets hop all works out for you .....

What kind of feed are you using for your chickens .....

A hard boiled egg is great for a growing poultry and all the vitamins and minerals they need are in the hard boiled egg so you might want to try giving your chickens a hard boiled egg at least three times a week .....

Some of our chicks having mash up hard boiled egg's for breakfast ..

Make sure your chickens get clean water everyday and have some shad to rest in during the summer .....

So good nutrition and clean water daily

Let the love affair begin! I hope you like math, because chicken math can be confusing.

I also have a little coop and run like that - but not as cute. You may want to put it on wheels so you can move it to fresh ground often.

thankfully I do have it on wheels I bought the chicken coop through Lowes but I think Amazon was cheaper. I do plan to move the chicken coop around the whole yard eventually.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Congrats on the new chicks! I think you will really enjoy this new adventure.

If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask.

Enjoy your new flock and welcome to ours!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Congratulations on your new chicks! That is a really cute little coop, those kits do tend to say they will hold more (standard) birds than you really want to put in them, there is a nice article in the Learning Center on figuring out about how much space you need for what you have www.backyardchickens.com/a/how-much-room-do-chickens-need

Yeah chicken math can be hard. I want to make my own run and coop I feel like the one I bought is way to small once all 4 are grown up. Thankfully this kit came with wheels. But I believe you can buy them threw Lowes or Harbor Freights. I can ask my dad a better place to get them since he seems to buy wheels for one project or another.
