I think spoiling chickens is far superior to spoiling children. A chicken throwing a tantrum (like many of mine when I dare walk onto the deck without grapes as treats) is much cuter than an out-of-control child.

I think good animal husbandry is a responsibility we take on when we have pets or livestock.
I have been told I too spoil my flock--- So if by,
always having fresh water
scooped poop/clean coop
a good layer pellets feed
green from the garden every so often
protecting them from the rain , snow, heat wave, eagles, hawks ect........

I am VERY guilty
