You might be surprise to learn how interesting it is to do juror duty.
It takes 12 people to decide the outcome so you are not alone doing it. It has to be beyond reasonable doubt!

Edit to add: Over here it pays per day ~ $150 plus meals ~$14 and transportation cost. - this exclude car parking.
These are taxable income.

They’ve called 1,200 jurors for the week of trials. I’ve only been chosen for juror questioning (Voir Dire) 3 times in 45 years, and was not chosen any of those times.
Normally I’d agree with you about Jury Duty, but I have a very sick dog at home currently
