Hello,
I am a brand new chicken mama this spring!. I live in Maryland and very excited to have my chickens.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes I am new to chickens, but did tons of research before I bought them so I knew what I was getting myself into. I just bought my girls 4 weeks ago at a local store.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 6 girls and I named them all after Disney Princesses lol.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I bought 3 Rhode Island Reds, and 3 Americana's

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I had a question about their poop and just googled my question and this website was the first one to come up!.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I have two small boys that keep me busy, and I also like to sew, paint, and spend time with my boys and my husband

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My two boys are 7 and 5 and I have been married to my husband going on 9 years. The other pets we have are two cats and a dog. I work part time right now at a chiropractor's office.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
