You learned that chicken math pretty quickly. You might want to go ahead and make a very large coop now for all those future chickens.

We would love to have a rooster, but wouldn’t all the eggs get fertilized and we wouldn’t have any to eat?

You can eat fertile eggs, no problem. They will only develop chicks if you, or a hen incubate them. Unless a hen is broody, she won't do so.
