Hi- I'm new here but have already learned more here than on any other website! I have 4 new pullets. 2 are 6 weeks old and in the coop- - Barred Rock and a Rhode Island Red. The other 2 are 2 rhode Island Reds about 1 week old in the brooder. I can't add any more due to space constrictions. Or I would!! Lol! I love my chickens ! I hope when I introduce the "babies" to the older pullets they all get along!
I live in Florida and am wondering how they do in the heat of the summer? Any ideas on keeping them cool? They have shade and good ventilation.

from Ohio. So happy you joined. When the younger ones are ready to move in with the others, a partition to keep them separate but able to see one another helps get them use to one another. As far as keeping cool, I will freeze pieces of fruit, watermelon, cantalope etc. then chickens loves the frozen treats. Good luck to you.
