I'm enjoying them so much!! The tv is rarely on these days. Even my bf who hates eggs, loves having chicken time.

Right about now is the time of day I start pulling weeds and put them in a 3 gal bucket and have them handy for him to "play with chickers" by feeding them blades of grass or dandelion weeds or some herbs or marigold heads torn up into petals.

And we got a new egg today, it's suspected from Josephine or it could have been Missy.

Today's new egg, and the blue/green egg was the last my Jeanette has laid in 10 days?

Jeanette is back on her lay. This was together in the nesting box with the golf ball today!

Lenny is a nice looking rooster. Seems like the girls are happy to have him round too :P Enjoy your eggs!
 
Lenny is very good with my ladies! He makes sure everyone eats, although Nell my rose comb leghorn is still not integrated fully, Jeanette is back full of piss and vinegar, Bessie coming out of her shell as she approaches her laying her first egg.

Missy lays blue eggs, Josephine lays the pinkish brown and Jeanette is still off her lay, I had thought these blue green eggs were kinda smallish and caught Missy laying it one afternoon when we were "playing chickers" which is a daily thing.

And I got 26 surviving 4 week old chicks intended for my freezer camp, at least the roos.
