i do have one more question

is one layer of chicken wire enough to keep fox and coyote out.
cement base.. 2' of hardware cloth,, chicken wire up to the roof. ?
im not feeling comfortable with one layer but husband insists its enough. thanks
 
Chicken wire is very flimsy, any predator worth his salt can tear through it or push it aside. Chicken wire only keeps chickens inside, it doesn't keep predators out.
1/2 "hardware cloth, securely affixed to the framework is much preferred, it costs more, but, provides enhanced security and will last far longer than cheap chicken wire.

You may want to post on the predators thread and see how they advise you.
