So I'm noticing that one of my lavender chicks has feathers on her legs. Is that a normal thing for a lavender Orpington? The other lavender does not have feathered legs, nor the other two Orpingtons. Also, her wing feathers have sorry if a striped pattern, where the other is more solid. Do I have a different breed of chick here?

No it is not. She's likely a mixed breed.

Is that too be expected when ordering from a hatchery? Or would that have been a mix up if some sort? I'm a first timer so I'm not sure how it works.

Hatchery chickens rarely meet standards, but they are all lovely to me. I have a hatchery welsummer who has some leg feathers.
