New chicken mom in California

We just put some three-week-old silkies out in a grow-out pen yesterday. It's averaging 70s outside and high 40s, low 50s at night, but they have a cozy coop radiant heater in the hutch they can run in and warm up. Then, they come out to run around for a while. You're in a slightly better situation, so yours should be fine too!

At the very least, they can go out in the day. If you have a run, and its predator proof, I would let them be out there all day.
