New Chicken Mom

I am new to having chickens. I have 7 chickens, 3 Buff Orpington, 2 Speckled Sussex and 2 Blue Plymouth. They are 20 weeks old and still no eggs. They are free range so we started looking around the yard to see if they may have laid in the leaves some where. Are they still too young?

Hi, give them more time, they'll lay when they are ready. And in the meantime, as @Pork Pie said, keep hunting!

They have a coop. I let them out every morning and lock it up at night. They go in when it starts to get dark.

Assuming you have provided some suitable nest-boxes they should lay in the coop, in my experience.

Welcome to BYC! I never expect eggs until pullets are at least 6 months old. Sometimes they surprise me and lay early, but that is always an unexpected surprise
