Hello Everyone,

I am new to chickens and i just love their personalities.

I am located in Colorado.

I have gotten 4 day old chicks from the feed store, now the feed store didnt label them so im not too sure what breeds i have. After looking through this forum for the past couple months, i think i am 90% sure i know the breeds now haha.

They are 11 weeks as of tomorrow, and i have started putting them outside last week. We built them a nice coop and run.

So i am thinking (again, im not sure) i have 1 easter egger (mo) 2 RIR (chicki and microwave - my sons named those two lol), and 1 Orpington (peep) Now another issue is, figuring out what sex they are and i am still at a loss, the orpington and easter egger are the ones that have the bigger and more reddish/pinkish combs, but def not as huge as ive seen on here on some chickens. My 2 RIR both have small combs and waddles (very pale) but one has a pointy tail the other doesnt. So im still completely unsure, or maybe i just dont want my suspicion to be reality. I cannot have roosters. Maybe you guys can help me figure it out.

I thank you all for your help. I truly appreciate it

Glad to meet you Kyndira. Nice looking chickens. There is a thread specifically for getting help figuring out gender and breed, which might work better, but you may get answers in this HELLO forum, too. Best wishes as you start out!
Ohhh okay. Thanks so much hahaha. Well wanted to show them off anyways. 😊😊

Hi, welcome to BYC. I think all your birds are production type. I am not seeing any easter eggers or orpingtons there. As for gender, I am unsure.
Yeah i went with what the feed store told me what breeds were shipped, so i picked what seemed closest. But again i am still not sure, mo is a big mystery to me. Haha. Thank you for your input and welcome :)

They are cute chickens, and we love pictures! Thank you for sharing. You didn't do anything wrong... I was just saying you might get a bigger answer pool at the other link. The coop is very nice, too!
I definitely agree with this!
