(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens, I got my first flock of chicks yesterday.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 4 chicks, hopefully all girls.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have two Rhode Island Reds (Ruth and Honey)and I have two Black Austrolorps (Esther and Franny).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My favorite aspects about raising BYC is seeing their personalities develop.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I volunteer at a sanctuary farm, taking care of the animals. I also love to go on hikes and crafting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a dog and a cat, I work with kids for my day job and I’m a full time student working on my Masters.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I discovered BYC a few weeks ago when I was doing my research on chickens. I wanted to join since getting my chicks and not sure exactly what everything is.
