New chicken mom!

Well it's nice to meet someone that is in the same boat. I'm a first time owner of chicks and there is a lot to learn, I'm finding out. 3 of my 8 chicks already had pasty butt. I've taken care of it. Gross. But hopefully nobody gets it again.

Yuck, thats no fun! My kiddos think it is HILARIOUS that I check their behinds every night. Have you tried apple cider vinegar in their water?
 
I added it after cleaning their bottoms. I'm so thankfully for having my girls around with the baby chicks. They were great helpers when it came to cleaning the chicks up.

Thank you and I hope luck is on my side. Quick question, I've read recently about normal poop. However I don't recall seeing anything on pale poos. One or two of my chicks have this wierd pale maybe pink poo. All the others are the normal poo I would expect. Are my chickies sick?
 
I definitely don't know the answer to that one. But can almost guarantee someone on BYC has already posted a question about it! Let me know what you find out..
