New chicken momma

I been checking butts, not sure what pasty butt is. But they seem to do great!
They are 3 weeks and starting to fly! I found two roosting on the feeder! So now it is duct taped!

Currently looking for other people raising chickens to maybe swap vacation times. I am camping 1 hour away. And been home 2 times a day.

Also have friend checking in on them. And have a live feed camera on them. These chicks are spoiled!

Did you know you can turn an old phone into a camera?!

Do you have a picture of your brooder?
Thanks for the advice!

And thanks everyone for the hellos!
I am from central Wisconsin!

I love this site and been stalking it for months before I got the chicks.

My hubby wanted me to take them camping!
No no too many dogs and wild critters!
Just click on the My Coop link in my avatar. You can see all the pictures of it there and how it ties into the coop and run.

I just saw all your coop photos!

Wow! Impressive! I love it!
Love the ideas and the brooder in the coop with outside options such a wonderful idea!

Who said I might not need heat? I am noticing they use the heat less and less.

I have so much to learn.
I am using someone else’s coop design. A friend built this coop with his own trees and planned them down into lumber. It is solid!
Although after watching many utube videos on coops I would love to change things.
I am not handy but learning.
My apron for run I couldn’t find anything on that. I just laid it down. Maybe I should of stapled it.
I couldn’t find anything on how to do the security hard wire apron outside the coop. So I went about 2 feet out and had each one close to wood posts or under wood frame.

And packed dirt around it all!

Thanks for sharing your photos!
