New to the forum and a new chicken momma, we have 4 Rhode Island’s reds. We love our chicks and have a few questions. Glad to find this site.

Looks like a shell-less egg. You can read more about them here: Common egg quality. problems. One shell-less egg is okay, but if you continue getting them there may be a health issue.All our hens were laying up until this week. We were getting 4 eggs a day. This week only 3 eggs a day. Then found this where they perch and sleep. A shell-less, yolk less egg with a tail. All hens are acting normal, eating & drinking hanging out together and look healthy. One of them did recently fall from a 4 foot distance. Not sure that has anything to do with this. They get a good hen laying feed, fresh fruit and free range so they get plenty of greens and grass. Also starting giving them a trail mix of cracked corn, meal worm, fly large and sunflower seeds. After I found the shell-less egg Istatting giving them oyster shells as well.
