New Chicken Momma

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I moved our three sweet daughters out to the country a year ago. We started our first veggie garden this year AND our sweet neighbor gave us our first 10 laying hens - all beautiful 1 year old Buff Orpingtons. There was an existing coop on our property so we fixed it up for our ladies and they are loving it. We've had them since Saturday (March 30) and we got 4 eggs yesterday! Talk about excitement.

Hello I'm new to BYC as well! I got a blue silkie and a buff Orpington as a present from my boyfriend for valentines day. They're such a blessing and i'm so excited to watch them grow. I can't wait until they lay eggs!
