Hi, I am new to raising chickens. I have 4 Buff Orpingtons, 4 White Plymouth Rocks, and 3 Black Australorps. Unfortunately the forth Black Australorp passed in transit
. I was very worried about them due to the fact I live in Arizona and the day they arrived we had a heat advisory of 110 degrees. They are now 4 days old and doing good. I can already see some of their personalities coming in. I have four dogs, Two pitbulls and two yorkiepoos. I have a glass tank for the brooder and one of the pitbulls and one of the yorkies are infatuated with the little things running around. They just lay down in front and watch them. Some of the chicks just come up to the glass and look out at the dogs, but one of the white rocks will charge the glass. I am thinking she might be a rooster lol (I order all pullets). I love this website, every time I had to google something this was the first site that came up and with the best info. Happy to be here.
