Hello everyone,
My name is Giovanni (call me John) and I'm signing up on your great forum from sunny Italy. I am truly obsessed which chickens and I am in the process of starting up a very small hatchery operation specializing in pure breeds, something which sadly almost disappeared from this country. If you wonder why my English is fairly decent that's because I used to live in the USA for 8 years before making it back over here. As of now I raise Anconas, White Leghorns, White and Barred Rocks, and Silver-laced Polish (which we call Paduan chicken and, as the French do, believe it to be an Italian breed selected from Northern European stock).
I plan to add a few more, maybe reach around 10-12 breeds.
