New Chicken owner and a question

Welcome to BYC. If it is the hen in your avatar, she looks like a game fowl. If so she will go broody. You could then get her some fertile eggs or allow her to set on non fertile eggs for at least 2 weeks and then foster some chicks to her. That way she would raise them and most likely be the boss.

*I don't know what breed she is. I've looked and looked and asked around and did some research but still unknown. If she is in fact game fowl, would you do you know if they do any better with certain breeds than others?
