I recently bought a new house out in Buckeye, AZ. My daughter was upset about moving so I offered up baby chicks as a bribe for moving. I planned to commit to my promise so I began doing research on raising chickens and appropriate chicken breeds for hot weather and children. Slowly these chickens went from being my daughter's project to being mine. I have fallen head over heels in love with chickens. i often find myself boring family and coworkers with all my chicken research findings. I stumbled onto this site whilst researching and am glad to see that I am not the only chicken lover out there. Anyway, I have chicks coming in early september so if you have any good tips for a chicken noob like me I would appreciate it.
