HI!! My name is Elizabeth from Texas (near Fort Worth) and here's a little about myself.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, new to chickens, I just got my first chicks on March4th

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 5 silver laced Wyandottes and 1 gold lace Wyandotte ( all from same hatch) and one that is a month older - a bantam cochin

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love the experience of my daughter and I learning and raising them. Looking forward to eggs and also hatching more

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Anything animal related . Love them all!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 daughters at home 23 and 12, and a 16 year old son, along with my wonderful husband, DJ. We have 5 dogs - 3 of them basset hounds, 1 beagle/Basset and a pit bull mix
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I heard about it when i googled " chicken coops"
