Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Card catalog. That cracks me up too. About 10 years ago I walked into a suburban library, thinking I could browse magazines & books. Boy what a surprise - they had computers everywhere. I am not a techy.
and discs or cd's I'm not sure what they were called but, I was very upset that libraries have changed so much. I love to HOLD a book and read them. Not have a Kindle device. Weird
I ran in to a card catalog about a year ago at a retirement home. I was with some kids and talk about entertaining! That was almost as funny as watching my daughters when they first saw a rotary phone. Recall those? "Dad... how do we make a phone call on this thing?"
I'm like you, if I have a preference, book form every time. I only got in to using a kindle recently when I discovered I could get books for a fraction of the cost. I read enough at times that the 5 to 10 dollars saved here and there really adds up.
Thank you so much for the welcome and tips!
