New at using the forum as well. I would like to know using these pictures the sexes. I was told by Tractor Supply they are Barnevelders but I wouldnt know if they were something else. I have pictures of all 4 of them. I realize they are not the best. So you think it is a laced gold Wyandotte pullet? I will look this up. Are the other three the same? Please try to specify what you are wondering about so we know exactly what you're asking. Helps us out a lot.
She's not a Barnelveder, she appears to be a blue laced gold Wyandotte pullet.
I thought the last one with the ridges on the head was a male. So I have 4 females!!!!!! I am so so happy. So these are Wyandottes... are they all the same kind? I read so much on Barnvelders. Are these the ones from New York or Wisconsin? Thank you so much for your response. I tried very hard with the pictures but they would jot stop grouping together or running iff.Wyandotte pullets. So far you have only posted pics of female Wyandottes.
The ridges are just a single comb, which means the wyandotte is not very good quality. Wyandottes are supposed to have rose combs, like the rest of your birds have.I thought the last one with the ridges on the head was a male. So I have 4 females!!!!!! I am so so happy.
That generally means they're not bred to the Standard of Perfection. Unless you plan to breed or show them, it's just fine. Their eggs taste the same as "high quality" birds'.What does low quality mean exactly? Do you think they are Wyandottes though? Are they perhaps sick? They seem fine.
